Driving from Dublin to The Carlton Hotel Galway City

The drive from Dublin to Galway is approximately 220 km and will take approximately 2 hours. From Dublin take the N4 to the West and Galway.  The N4 will become the M4 which you will follow, this turns into the M6. At the end of the M6 bear left at the roundabout (first exit) and follow the signs to Docks and Galway City East.  Once on the Dual Carriageway you need to move to the right hand lane.  At the "Martin" roundabout you need to take the third exit again signposted Docks and Merlin Park.  Go straight through 3 sets of lights (past Galway Crystal on the left hand side) and at the “Skerritt” roundabout go straight (2nd exit, GMIT will be on your right), then continue straight on, you will pass through 3 sets of traffic lights, straight through the last and the hotel is on the right.

Driving from Galway Airport to The Carlton Hotel Galway City

Direct flights operate to and from Dublin, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. Galway Airport is located in Carnmore, approximately 6km from Galway City near Oranmore. The short drive to the city centre is well signposted. On exiting the airport, turn left, follow this road through the first set of lights.  At the “lynch” roundabout take the 3rd exit for the city centre.  At the “Morris” roundabout take the first exit for GMIT & Renmore.  The next roundabout “Skerritt” take the last exit for Galway City.  Straight through 3 sets of lights we are on the right.
 
Driving from Knock Airport to The Carlton Hotel Galway City

Knock International Airport in Charlestown, Co. Mayo is a little over an hour from Galway City. From Knock Airport take the N17 south past Knock Town, Claremorris and Tuam to Galway City.  Once you approach Galway at the “Font” roundabout take the 2nd exit Galway City.  Follow that road until you reach the “Joyce” Roundabout.  Take the first exit off this.  At the traffic lights go straight ahead, we are on this road on the left past Bradley Motors and Centra.

Driving from Shannon International Airport to The Carlton Hotel Galway City

Take the N18 from Shannon to Galway City.  Once you approach Oranmore you will pass numerous roundabouts.  Follow Galway City until you approach the “Martin” Roundabout. At this roundabout take the first exit Galway City East & Renmore.  
Go straight through 3 sets of lights (past Galway Crystal) and at the “Skerritt” roundabout go straight (2nd exit, GMIT will be on your right), then continue straight on, you will pass through 3 sets of traffic lights, straight through the last and the hotel is on the right.
